HighwayNetra

MLFF Suite

Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling software

Barrier-free tolling across every lane. Edge nodes on the gantry recognise each vehicle, and the central server matches, charges and reconciles every transaction.

Key capabilities

What is included

MLFF Node

Gantry or lane edge node. Its sensors are the front ANPR, rear ANPR, radar, RFID reader and ABC camera (axle count). Each sensor gives the event of a vehicle to the node, which classifies it, buffers it offline if needed and sends it to the central server.

MLFF Central Server

Receives events from all nodes and applies the business logic: FASTag and VRN matching, fare calculation and the E-Notice workflow. The result goes to the bank and NPCI, and the server produces reconciliation reports.

Common services

Login/logout, authentication, role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logs.

Frequently asked questions

What is MLFF (Multi-Lane Free Flow) tolling?

MLFF tolling charges vehicles automatically while they drive through at normal speed across all lanes, with no barriers or toll booths. Sensors on a gantry identify each vehicle and the toll is settled electronically, typically through FASTag.

Which sensors are in the HighwayNetra MLFF Node?

The MLFF Node uses front ANPR, rear ANPR, radar, an RFID reader and an ABC camera (axle count). Each sensor reports its vehicle event to the node, which forwards it to the central server.

What does the MLFF central server do?

It applies the business logic: it matches FASTag with the vehicle registration number (VRN), calculates the fare and runs the E-Notice workflow. The information then goes to the bank and NPCI, and the server produces reconciliation reports.
